Our Story - Why I Made the Switch

For over 20 years, I made traditional plastic products - it was what I knew, what paid the bills. But then one evening, my daughter said, "Dad, you know plastic is ruining the planet, right?" She was only 12, but she wasn't wrong. Her school projects were all about polution, the ocean, and microplastics. She even joked that I was "part of the problem". It stung - not becuase she was teasing, but becuase deep down, I knew she was right.

That moment stayed with me. I started reading, researching, and asking questions. And what I found made it impossible to keep going the same way. That's when I discovered biodegradable alternatives. Now we make compostable plastic-alternative products that break down in the soil - no microplastics, no harm. I'm proud of what we do. And more importantly, my daughter is too.

Our Production

BioBags are made in Australia, close to our customers. Why ship compostable bags thousands of kilometres across the globe, ranking up significant emissions, when we can make them close to our customers? The production takes place in beautiful Adelaide.

Our factory utilizes renewable energy and features solar panels on the main factory's roof. The operations are guided by a philosophy of continuous improvement and waste reduction. We sort and recycle production waste, invest annually in our machinery and processes to minimize waste. 

We hold ISO 9001 certifications, showcasing our commitment to exceptional quality, food safety standards, and environmental responsibility.
